スマホアプリのIBSトラッカーを使って下痢の要因を探ってみた

突然ですが、過敏性腸症候群（IBS）の原因は何でしょうか？

病気になる原因は医学的にハッキリしていません。ふくぎ鍼灸院ではお腹の緊張（硬さ）が原因と考え治療に当たっていますが、一般的にはあまり認知されていません。

しかし、IBSの方にとって毎日同じ症状の繰り返しという人は少ないのではないでしょうか。

「今日は調子がいいかも！」と思う日があれば「ダメだ、今日は最悪・・・」という日もあります。これは症状を左右する要因がたくさんあるからではないでしょうか。

この要因を知ることで、調子を大きく崩す日を減らすことができます。特に要因となりやすいものは特定の食べ物とストレスです。

日々の生活を記録することで、あなたの悪化要因か何なのか知ることができます。

今回は日々の生活を簡単に記録でき見返せる便利なスマホアプリを紹介します。

アプリ

このアプリは「気分」、「排便回数や便の状態」、「食事と水分摂取量」、「ストレス」を簡単に入力し記録できます。

それ以外にもこんな特徴があります。

・グラフ化して表示できるので、パッと見で分かりやす

・カスタマイズ追加で睡眠や運動時間など自分に必要な項目を増やせる

・食事記録は写真、メモでもどちらでも可能

・完全無料。無料アプリに多い広告も一切なし

実際の使い心地はどうなのか。 7月28日～8月10日までの2週間、IBSっぽい症状もある私が実際に使ってみました。

基本画面はこのようになっており、入力したい項目をタップするだけです。

気分

気分は５つの表情が出てくるので今の状況にあったものを選びましょう。

 

排便1

排便は硬さが5段階、量が3段階で選べます。もう一度排便回数をタップすると２回目、３回目の入力も可能です。

ストレス状態は9段階で評価します。

摂取は「朝食」「昼食」「夕食」「スナック類」「水」「メモ（その他）」の６つ項目があります。選択したらメニュー記録、写真記録どちらも可能です。

入力したものには色がつくので、入力忘れしていないかひと目で確認できます。

このように食事以外は用意された項目を選ぶだけ。すごく手軽なので面倒くさがりな僕でもストレスなく継続することができました。

食事はどんな素材を食べたかが重要なので、文字で入力をお勧めします！

自己分析をしてみよう

こちらが2週間のグラフです。

気分のグラフですが、「お腹の調子」というイメージで入力しました。

画像の通り、8月2日と6日が明らかに調子の優れない日でした。記録を見て要因を探ります。

2日はカフェオレを飲んだ10分後に便意が起こり、その後も強い便意がありました。普段からコーヒーを飲むと悪化するのでカフェオレも意識的に避けていました。

この時は頂きものだったのでおいしく飲みましたがやはり症状がでました。やはり私はコーヒーを避けたほうがいいようです。

6日は夜行バスで東京まで行ったため睡眠がいつもに比べ不十分でした。ここには書かれていませんが、軽い便意が1日中続いていました。睡眠不足も多くの人にとってIBSを悪化させる要因です。。

どうでしょうか？ 僕自身は何をすると調子が悪くなるのかある程度理解しています。そのため要因と考えられるものがすぐに判明しました。

何が不調の要因か分かっていない方でも、継続して記録することで傾向がわかると思います。

何が良くないのか分析する際には、事前の情報があるといいでしょう。

例えば腸にいいと言われるから続けていた乳酸菌などのヨーグルトや食物繊維が、下痢やガス症状に悪影響を与えているかも知れません。また、FODMAPの観点から食事を見直すと自分に合わない食材がわかってくることもあるでしょう。

当院には何十年もIBSに苦しんでいたという患者さんがたくさん訪れます。言い換えれば、放っておいても治らないケースがたくさんあるということです。

自分で治すことは難しくても、コントロールできるようになれば生活はかなり楽になります。
